Hello! I am completing TAG with UC Davis...I am wondering if I can apply with Psych B.S. intended major and then transfer to Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior after the first quarter there? I'll have most of the prerequisites for both majors done but I am afraid that my math GPA might not be satisfactory for NPB by the end of the year.

I'd also like some opinions on changing to certain majors at these UCs:

Berkeley = Psychology --> Public Health
UCLA = less competitive major in L/S or Physiological Science or Neuroscience --> Human Bio B.A.

If any info like UC GPA and prerequisite completion is needed please let me know.

I believe bio sciences are selective at most UCs, so you may have trouble (meaning you can’t). I do not know about pub health but if you can do it I believe it has to be the first semester, which means any pre-reqs would need to be completed…

It would be hard. There is a reason why there is a harsh strict on changing major. They want, let’s say a woman studies major change to biology because they want to be at UCLA or Cal.

My dd is an NPB major AT Davis. It is a hard major but she does well in the math courses because the Calc courses are her strength. You will struggle in this major if you don’t have the background in math, physics and bis (biological sciences). Why did you TAG with Psych?
The UCs know how people get in with one major and immediately try to switch into impacted majors and they may make you stay with the major for a while.
