Changing majors after transfering

<p>I talked to a couple of counselors at UCLA and they all told me that the process is pretty simple.</p>

<p>They said that if I wanted to change my major, all I had to do was petition a request to do so after completing at least 3 major lower-divs. </p>

<p>It seems simple, but does anyone know if non-impacted departments normally take your GPA into consideration in whether or not to let you change? Also, do non-impacted departments normally reject or accept major change requests?</p>

<p>I switched to a non-impacted major immediately after getting accepted. I went to the department advisor and she changed my major right there in her office. She didn't mention anything about GPA and I didn't even have all of the prerequisites finished.</p>
