Hi all,
I am currently a high school senior and am reviewing my college choices for the coming years. I applied to UT Austin but was offered CAP, not sure if thats such a good idea. But currently, my choices are UT Dallas or UH. My question is, how easily can a external transfer student (from either UH or UTD) change majors, lets say from Economics to Business at McCombs. I want to apply as transfer with Economics (Liberal Arts) major because I hear it is much easier to get in than with a Business major. I know UT Austin is highly selective, but I aim to mailing nothing less than a 3.8 GPA throughout my freshman year. My ultimate goal is to graduate with a undergrad degree in business from McCombs at UT.
Also, is UH Honors considered to be just as good as UT McCombs?
Any info and advice is much appreciated!
UH Honors is not even close to McCombs . Sorry to Say , and internal transfer at UT into McCombs is around a 3.7-3.8 and External Transfer into McCombs is around a 3.9

I appreciate the information @MyLonghorn, thanks! Would you say Economics would be an easy major to transfer to then?
Well if you do CAP economics is guaranteed , so you would only need a 3.2 to get into economics. however I’ve head external from a different university for econ is around 3.7 , because its apparently the hardest major to get into at liberal arts or COLA
