Changing Majors/Colleges at UC Berkeley

I'm a CCC transfer student who applied for the Microbial Biology major at the CNR, but have recently become more interested in changing my major to MCB at the College of L&S. Assuming I get accepted, is this a difficult/impossible thing to do?

At first I applied as an Microbial Biology major because I wanted to receive a BS degree and not a BA, but the more I've thought about and gathered information about the MCB major I feel it is a much better fit for. Also, I am IGETC certified which actually means something at L&S and does not really do anything for me at CNR.

Please help me out if you have any information or experience with this. Thanks!

Talk to an L&S advisor when you get to Cal. I don’t think there is any restrictions for declaring even for transfer students. For requirements to declare MCB, see [L&S Majors - Molecular and Cell Biology](http://ls-major.berkeley.edu/mcellbi.html). For general major change information in L&S, see [L&S Majors - Declare](http://ls-major.berkeley.edu/declare.html).
