Changing Majors CSE to EE?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I've got a slight bit of a problem on my hands. When I applied to UCLA, I applied as a CSE and was admitted. However, after taking an extensive look at the curriculum and visiting the Engineering open house I would like to get switched to EE.</p>

<p>Would I be able to do this at orientation?
Or must I go through the whole 2 quarters for a 1st year before switching deal?</p>

<p>Any insight would be useful.</p>

<p>You should be able to do this at orientation. If you are unsuccessful initially (for whatever reason), you can still take the same lower division requirements that an EE major would need, then petition after 2 quarters. Either way, you won’t end up behind.</p>
