Changing majors, from undeclared to CSE

Hi all,

I was admitted into Thurgood Marshall College as an undeclared-physical science major, but I want to switch to Computer Science Engineering, more specifically, Computer Science (B.S.). I know on the official website it says that CS is not an impacted major, but i'm worried that status might change to impacted this coming school year. Would that ever happen? Also, is it really that easy to switch a major from Tritonlink? I tried declaring on tritonlink but on the majors page it says that "you have not enrolled in any courses" or something like that.
Also FYI I already SIR'd to UCSD haha.

EDIT: It actually says, “You have not enrolled in any term.”

Well technically you’re not enrolled in any term so thats probably why. It’s really easy to change majors once you get here. It’s possible that CS may get impacted but I doubt that will happen. Just relax and enjoy your senior year and change when you enroll.

Just e-mail MajorChangeRequest@ad.ucsd.edu with the major you would like to switch to, and they’ll e-mail you a response back saying you’ve been switched. You can then verify your switch on your tritonlink.

That’s what I did, and it seemed almost too easy, but it worked! I’m a transfer who was admitted to B.S. Cognitive Science in March. I switched to B.S. Comp Sci two weeks ago (haven’t even SIR’d yet).
