Changing majors...

I indicated psychology as my major when I applied. I'm still a senior in high school, and I was accepted to Pitt earlier this school year. Now, I might want to switch my major to pre-physical therapy. Will this be a problem? is the program in a different school? when will it be (if ever) too late to switch? how do I switch?

A lot depends on whether pre-PT is in Arts & Sciences or a different school. For anyone who wants to switch majors, the easiest way to figure out the requirements is to go to that programs website and look under “internal transfers.”

FWIW, I’m thinking pre-PT isn’t a major, just a track like pre-med.

Pre-PT isn’t a major. It is a track. It should be no problem to switch majors.

If you’re in the A&S you don’t have to worry about majors anyway. You don’t declare until the end of your sophomore year.
