Just got accepted to CPP as an economics major. However, the course offerings for economics are very limited and I’m concerned that I won’t be able to graduate in 2 years, much less 3. How hard would it be to switch to accounting after being accepted as an econ major? Would it even be possible?

Uh, is it part of the same college?

I know when I was a transfer student they basically said it was OK to switch your major at orientation within the college you were accepted to. I’d e-mail someone about it, though or call somebody.

You would think so, but no its not. CPP is one of the rare csu’s that has economics under social sciences and not business. I’ll call today and see if I can get an answer.

Accounting is not impacted and Business is one of the easier colleges to get into at CPP. You should be fine. What were your stats?

Yeah i called and got a similar response so thats a relief. At the time of application I had a 2.6 so I was surprised to even have gotten in. However I got it up to a 3.1 now cause when i applied I was in the process of retaking two classes I had done poorly in.
