I’ve been accepted to Stony Brook University for Sociology and want to change my major to nursing. What are the steps I need to take in order to graduate within 4 years
I think you need to direct this specific question to an advisor at Stonybrook. The first question is whether they will allow you to change the major. I don’t know if they are direct admit or 2 plus 2 for nursing.
If they let you change your major as an incoming freshmen or if you are eligible to apply to a 2 plus 2 program, then you should be able to graduate in 4 years.
Most nursing students take general requirements for the first year and part of the second year. If they tell you they will later allow you to apply to nursing, you can try to replicate the freshman nursing curriculum on your own. If it is a 2-2 program, there will be specified prerequisites.
Okay thank you
