Changing Majors

If you are not admitted into the college of engineering your freshman year can transfer into the the engineering program at NC State?

Yes you can, but you will need to be accepted. They look at the C-wall (Calc, Physics/Chem) classes as part of their judgement.

It’s technically possible but very difficult to do so.

It’s a competitive process.

For some majors like Computer Science you need a 3.9-4.0 GPA to successfully transfer in (from a different department), and even then you probably won’t be accepted because there’s simply no spots left. For College of Engineering majors, first priority goes to engineering students, then Exploratory Studies is next.

The OP asked the question 2 years ago. Presumably they have made their decision and requite no further input. Please do not needlessly bump old threads. Closing.
