I know some people might be upset with me asking this as to because they didn't get their first choice of major

Well I got accepted with the Bioengineering: Biotech major, but now I really just want to do Bioengineering, without the Biotech part. It's a small difference, i know, and it doesn't really affect my freshman courses, but it starts to differentiate during sophmore year.

How hard would it be to change it? Majors aren't declared yet, so does that mean i can declare Bioengineering instead of Bioengineering:biotech by the end of my freshman year? knowing that the Bioengineering majors are impacted?

I'm really curious as to the process of switching majors. I got into structural engineering, but because of a full scholarship I recieved I need to take computer or mechanical engineering. How hard is it to switch into these majors? Are they impacted?

You shouldn't worry too much about this stuff now, as a talk with your counselor will get you all the info you'll need, plus, by the time u get in school you'll probably change your major

Switching into a non-impacted major, like mechanical engineering, is just a matter of filling out a form and sending it in. Computer Engineering on the other hand is impacted and the process becomes more complicated. A good place to start researching is the general catalog. It has answers to many of your major-related questions.
