changing my email ?

My old one got a virus and i can't use it anymore :(
so how do i inform colleges of my new email ? do i send them emails to the admissions office??

last question: aol or gmail ? ;)

Email your colleges from the new address and let them know what happened. I'm sure they've heard of this before.

gmail - you don't have to pay for an aol account to keep it

People actually use AOL email still??????

Gmail all the way!

oh i didn't know you had to pay for AOL.

guess i'll be using gmail then :)

You don't have to pay for AOL or Gmail. AOL is free now, but gmail is still better. I love my gmail.

another question: i go by an english name instead of my legal Mandarin Chinese name. So would it be better to put my english name in my email address or my legal name? (i don't want adcoms getting my identity mixed up...but i still want to go by my english name if i'm using the account for non-admissions purposes as well)

since its not your official college email I don;t think it would matter to the college which you use, but if the English name is the one you use the most that would probably be the best. (from my view at least)
