I just received my housing assignment and I was not satisfied with where I was placed. How can I possibly appeal this assignment and change my assignment? Is there an online form I can fill out, and if so where can I find it? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Usually RPS will not move students until at least part-way through first semester. Even then, it’s usually because of roommate issues, not just because you don’t like your dorm.

My advice: It’s just a dorm, and you don’t always get what you want. Plenty of other kids don’t like theirs either

I agree with soccergurl, it’s just a dorm. I understand it can be a hassle for classes at times but realize that RPS is not happy atm because so many freshmen want to switch. I called them and they thought I wanted to switch dorms and sounded very annoyed. When I told them I just wanted to know my room and building, their tone became friendlier. You can try filling out a form on their website but I wouldn’t expect a change.

According to RPS this morning there are still 700 students who have not received a housing assignment yet (including my son). It was supposed to be by yesterday but they are having technical issues and can’t get the assignments out for another week yet. My guess is that these assignments are going to be a priority and not dealing with assignment changes.
