Changing my major on applications already submitted

<p>Hi, I have a question.
I applied to 8 schools back in October. At the time I was convinced that I wanted to be an English major and said so on the apps.
Now I really, really want to go to business school and forget about the English major.
Now, I applied EA to 3 places, and I'll hear back from them maybe next week.</p>

<p>If I go back and change my applications (which have already been submitted) and say that I want to choose a different major, will that alter my chances of getting accepted? As in, would it be easier to get into a school as a potential business major or a potential English major? Or is there really no distinction?</p>

<p>Also, if I go back to change my major now, would that affect the decision of the 3 schools I will hear back from next week?</p>

<p>I applied to one school for Nursing and didn't realize they had a Physician Assistant BS/MS track at their school. After I was accepted I emailed the admissions office and asked if I could switch majors and they let me! An email could be sufficient or you could of course call the admissions office after you're accepted.</p>
