Changing Schedule

Lets say student A gets admitted to College "X". What happens if that student chooses to drop 1-2 of the 3 A.Ps/hard classes that he/she is taking during the second semester and doesn't report this to the university?

Is it likely that his/her admission will be revoked?

I'm just curious because a few people in my school are looking to drop a few hard classes during the second semester without reporting the change to colleges.

Thanks. :)

It will appear on the transcript, right? So when the college gets the final report from the high school they will know, and revoking your admission isn't just likely, it's almost certain.

You MUST report changes to colleges. If you don't, it is very likely that your admission will be revoked, since you're trying to deceive them. It's not certain, but very likely. On the other hand, if you DO tell the university, dropping the class might not do anything. It really depends on the school.

For anyone in that situation, I recommend talking to the college first to see what they say. I didn't take a very hard senior year (comparatively - I still took three APs), and it didn't affect my admissions at all.
