Recently, due to some issues with the staff that aren't really relevant, I have decided to change schools for my senior year. I will be going from the IB program at one school to a 'school for the gifted'. Unfortunately the only teacher that I personally know at that school is a science teacher who used to be my Girl Scout leader six years ago. My question is whether I should ask for letters of recommendation from my previous school, where most of the teachers know and like me, or should I try to get letters from the teachers at my new school who will have only known me for a short period of time. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

Ask the teachers who know you better. It sounds like those are your old teachers.

I switched schools for senior year, and I got one letter of rec from my new school and one from my old one (I did this on purpose, not simply because those were the teachers who knew me best, although they sort of were). I did make an effort to get to know teachers at the new school though, and if you don't think they know you as much, the old school would probably be a better bet.
