is it possible to change from the school you applied as?
as in International Studies school to school of Nursing?
what is the process for an entering freshman?
Usually applications are re-evaluated if you change your major prior to enrolling. I would enroll and go through your first quarter in the International Studies school and just take your liberal arts/other required courses. During the quarter meet with your advisor and change your major. That way, they can’t revoke your admission- they can transfer your major.
Applications are not reevaluated should you decide to change your major prior to enrolling. As a freshman, you aren’t expected to have solidified your major yet. UW has the 105 credit rule, meaning by the time you hit 105 credits you nend to have declared a major or been granted an extension. Since there are several prerequisites you need to complete prior to applying to the school of Nursing, you could change your status to pre-Nursing or pre-Health. It’s a really simple process, but if you’re concerned, talk to Dan or Julie in the UAA office. They can help you out. I used to work in advising and am a current undergrad (soon to be Grad student), I wouldn’t stress about it too much. No one will revoke admission for simply changing your mind.
