Son just got accepted to Summer Seminar—session A. When he applied, he didn’t specify a session because he didn’t have a conflict at the time. Well, of course—now he does, and Session B would be much better for him. How difficult is it to change sessions? Does it look bad to request a change?

If your son was accepted by e-mail, just send a reply to the person who sent the acceptance. I bet he can reschedule, since this is still pretty early. Otherwise, call your USAFA admissions counselor.

I was accepted back in mid february, and I was in the same situation as yal, I didn't have a preference but once they gave me session A I then foud out that I was accepted to Boys State, I sent them a quick email requesting a change to Session B and told them it was so that I could go to Boys State also and they had no problems with changing me over. I think they're pretty understandable with schedules especially when its things like Boys State, as long as your not like "uhh yeah can you cahnge me to session B so I can go to naval academy first" or something. which I don't know if they would even care then either lol. Hope they're not full and hope to see your son at session B good luck
