Changing surname on the college board site

Hi,
I registered on the SAT college board website about 1.5 months ago. In place of my full surname I used my initial , for the surname field while registering. I realized that the name that would be appearing on my passport would be the full surname. So I needed to change my surname on the my registered account before I registered for any test dates. I wasn't able to find the place where you edit your surname.A few days ago, after I had tried to contact the college board on this issue, I found the place where you can edit in your
surname (Under my organizer -> update my account. I think there might have been some update to the site design which allowed me to easily find the place where it is to be updated) and seem to have successfully updated it there.

So, I wanted to know if this would be enough and if I can proceed with registering for a test date without any worry regarding discrepancies in my name? The reason I'm a bit worried about this is that, I seem to recall reading in several places that the only way you can get your name changed after registration is by contacting the college board directly. But I'm not sure if this applies only for the cases where the exam dates have already been registered ( and not for the cases where the account has yet to be used for registration of tests ) . Contacting the college board regarding this hasn't yielded much, because they seem to be asking for personal details (which I hadn't entered in during registration) to verify my identity, before they would help me.

I hope this whole post has been clear. Basically, I have a college board account in which I am yet to register for any tests. I managed to update my surname on the site. If I were to register for a test date, would my newly updated surname show on my examination ticket? Or should I go about this some other way?

Thanks.
