* Changing your Test Center, Test Date, or Test Type

There is an additional fee if you are registered for a test and want to change the test center, test date, or which test you registered to take. To be assured of a seat on test day, you must make your request no later than the Wednesday that is two and one-half weeks before the test date.

* A credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover Card) is required to pay the fee. Be ready to provide your credit card number and expiration date.

  • Changes to your test center or test date can be made online through your free account or by calling Customer Service.
  • To change your test type, you must call Customer Service.
o Try to avoid the busiest day (Monday), the busiest hours (3 to 6 p.m.), and registration deadline dates.
o Be ready to provide your registration number and test date, as well as credit card information.

If you miss the deadline for making a change, you can still try to make the change on the day of the test. Go early to the test center of your choice and explain the situation to the test supervisor. If space and materials are available, you will be admitted before standbys. You will be billed for the change fee.*
