Okay I am a senior in high school and I currently have a job working for Target. Nowadays it is so difficult for young people and especially teenagers to find and be hired for a job because we are in competition with adults with degrees who lost their jobs due to the economy. If the college I go to choose my classes and schedule for me, is it possible that I can change the schedule to work around my work schedule? Like lets say I want to work Friday Saturday Sunday and Monday, can I make my schedule so that I have no classes on those days? I hope that makes sense...

You can try to do that and you set up your classes, colleges just tell you what class you need to take to get a degree in your major. However, it would be kind of difficult to schedule everything in a couple of days because maybe one class has a lecture on Monday’s and Wednesday but can’t take the Wednsday one because you already have a class that exact same time. It depends though, just hope you can try to get the schedule you want.

Everything depends on the courses that you need/want to take, and when they are offered. If you know which colleges you will be applying to, you can probably take a look at this fall’s course schedule online, and see whether or not this might work. Do remember though that first year students often have last priority for course registration, and the schedule that you had hoped for might not be possible at all.

I agree with the others. If you take a full course-load of 4-5 daytime classes, it might be hard to schedule that many days off. Many students find jobs working nights/weekends (a place like Target might be able to accommodate that) so that might be an option as well.
