Changing Your Legal Name

When is the best time to change your legal name - after apps and before college? Or some other time?

Um never???

lol that’s a strange question. Here’s the thing: your college stuff will all have your obsolete name on them - i.e. any ID cards, email address, etc., so before college seems to be an unfortunate time, but then after college, your diploma will have the wrong name. I guess after you get a steady job would be a good time

Are you changing your name to Max Power?

Could be right after you’re accepted, to let them know. Or the day before diplomas are printed. Or whenever you want. Why are you changing your name?

^^Nice fasting sir.

Hey, trumpetgrl said that she once fasted for 15 minutes. I think a day and 2 hours is quite impressive in comparison

^I’ve went 5 days, and will be doing a fast for 2 weeks, but after those 5 days, my posts skyrocketed if you can recall ;)

lol was that when you went to like 600? I think I was actually “fasting” at that time :b

I’ve thought about changing my name before, more out of frustration than anything. Nobody spells my name correctly.

i want to make my name more interesting.

[common name of hebrew origin][another common name of hebrew origin][6th most common last name in the us]

seriously.there are like 900 people on facebook alone with the same first and last name as me.

My name is super easy to spell. Ergo, I am in no rush to change it. Of course, if I do, it will be to

Why do you want to change your name?

I’m only removing my last name and keeping my first and middle name (the way my mother constructed my name, it’s possible and it won’t sound totally ridiculous). I don’t like my last name because I’m Indian and it’s sort of a caste name/insanely common name.

you should only have a first name. You’d be legit

Is that possible?

It should be! =D

and then 5 more seconds elapsed…

I think the best time is when one is a child, before one has a bunch of legal documents to worry about. My father changed my brother’s name forever ago.
But you can’t go back in time and do that, so I’d say before college apps. Of course, I neither know how old you are or how long the process takes, so I don’t know if it’s possible for you to have it done before apps are due.

Hey guys, should I legally change my name to ChaosTheory?

Um, no. I need to somehow get the mean pronunciation out of my last name, I guess I can live with it. :P

I wish people would learn how to pronounce my last name correctly, because otherwise, they’re saying p***s in Vietnamese.
