<p>Has anyone enrolled at PSU and then changed their minds? We put down a deposit because of the way PSU assigns housing (first come first served), and were told we could get out of the contract and just lose $100 of the $300, but I wonder if anyone has done that. It makes me a bit nervous.</p>
<p>Yes, I know people who have done that and nobody has had a problem.</p>
<p>We also paid the deposit earlier to reserve a spot for my D. However she ruled out Penn State late last month. She sent a letter to the admissions department, with her name, address, and nine(?) digit PSU ID, requesting that her admission be cancelled and a refund of 2/3 of the deposit. And just this past week we received the $200 back, no problem. I'm hoping that her spot was, or will be given, to someone on the UP waitlist.</p>
