Changing?

Do you just strip down in front of your roomate? Or is there room to hide and change?

I assume you could be like “I’m changing” and I assume they would politely look away. Or you could just change right after your shower before you return to your room. I do not have much experience in the ways of changing in the female dorms. From my experiences, they didn’t really care unless they were changing undergarments.

I do (and always have) just strip down and change…unless I’m already in the bathroom (like after a shower or if I’m getting ready for bed and have to go to the bathroom).

Back when I lived in the dorms, I lived in a suite-style arrangement, so I’d go to the bathroom located in my suite to change (or if my roommate was changing in the bathroom, I’d change in the room).

We girls just stripped down in the room. But after the showers, we put on our robes and just put our underwear on there.

Ya, it’s no big deal.

If you need to change and want to be private about it, just ask them to look away. No one ever makes a big deal about it.

I agree that it’s quite common to change with your roommate present. Keep an eye out for hidden corners in your room that will give you a bit more privacy. For example, I once had a room where the space between the closet door and the wall was not visible from my roommate’s side of the room.

In my dorm room, we each have a small walk-in closet with a light inside and a door. We usually change in there.

if you don’t want your roommate to see your d*, there’s always the hallway.

I usually just change in front of whoever is there. I got used to this from PE in high school.

^true…but we never stripped naked in front of other guys in PE. Just down to underwear.

Unless you are talking about some other places, then…ok. I was referring to changing into undies, wrapping a towel around the waist, then going naked while inside the shower stall.
