I am not a big fan of prestige for prestige sake. The vibe at Chapel Hill and Georgetown are different. Georgetown is about DC…Capitol Hill, DOD, White House etc. Some pre-med students. Lots of wealthy people at Georgetown. Lots of legacy. Lots of all sorts of stuff. Great school. But think long and hard about the situation there.

Chapel Hill Honors is special. And Chapel Hill is a fine school. But its also big and a bit of a party school. To some extent the addage there is “Hard to get in, but easy once you are there.” I know lots of high school kids who said it wasnt that tough. However, Honors is another breed and you will work hard.

Getting into Law School from either school is about the same, though you LSAT score is really what determines where you get in.

Frankly I am always in favor of saving money for med school, law school and grad school. They aren’t cheap and scholarships are not nearly as generous or frequent.

My vote is Chapel Hill.
