Is there a thread for this? If so, please point me to it! I can't believe no one is wondering if decisions have mailed yet... btw, does everyone who applied have his/her program evaluation showing on the webadvisor (as opposed to a "not available" notice)?

They are supposed to be snail mailed on December 20.

AAAA im dying to know!!

Seattle_mom, that’s what the admissions office says every year, but last year around this time they started changing statuses to “DECISION REACHED” and packets were received before the 20th.

I’m a transfer, though it’s probably the same process, and you do find out through the mail. The portal changes with the status “decision reached” but does not actually say what the decision is. It took another 3-4 days or so for me to actually receive the packet in the mail. Good luck!

I am very anxious to hear, Chapman is my dream school! I am concerned though with the Christmas holiday that things may be delayed, do any of you forsee this as an issue?

lah1332 - last year Chapman changed statuses and mailed decisions earlier than normal (normal being Dec 20-ish). If this is a normal year, it will be the after the new year before the majority of Early Action decisions are received. Since there hasn’t been any status changes yet, this looks to be like a normal year.

EndPhase - congratulations on your acceptance! Do you recall if you could access your program evaluation upon completion of your application or was it accessible only around the time decisions were made?

My D’s status read Decision Reached when I checked yesterday, effective 12/9/2013. Has anyone else seen their status change yet??

Mine has not changed yet!

GertrudeMcFuzz, thank you for alerting us! It looks like Chapman is early again this year, which means a shorter wait time for all. Have you noticed anything different with the program evaluation section on her webadvisor?

Bigmamabear - This was the first time I had logged in, so I don’t know what it looked like before. Right now it shows her program of choice and a submit button.

Mine changed to Decision Reached this morning!

My son’s changed to Decision Reached this afternoon.
Applied for Creative Producing.

I applied to Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. I am so anxious for any sort of news…does any one have any idea of when my application status might change? I have been checking it by the hour during business hours in anticipation.

what is the account for the chapman portal? Did they email it out? I may need to look into that. Where do I find it?

Jpendergast - Chapman’s IT department mails a sheet with information on the portal and your username and password after they have received your application. If you didn’t receive that information I suggest calling the Admissions office and they can put you through to the right people to supply you your login information.

We called Chapman today and totally forgot to ask WHEN they will post on the portal, as my daughter was just trying to get ON the portal. They said they snail mailed the information about how to get to the portal and we vaguely remembered some letter a while back. The Admissions Office gave her the ID number, then she had to call their HelpDesk and provide DOB, last 4 of SS, etc., to get the logon and temporary password. At some point, she was finally successful in logging on to check status. It reported that her application is still in process.

does anyone know when they are sending out EA decisions through snail mail??? are we expected to get them within a week?
