It is so great to see so much enthusiasm about Chapman here. Congrats to those admitted, and I am thinking good, positive thoughts to those deferred. We are a Minnesota family with relatives in SoCal, and our son would really like to go to school there. Our winters may be a factor. He also visited Chapman pre-covid and liked it very much.
Anyway, if of interest, he was admitted EA Business yesterday. 3.9+ UW, 33 ACT, average ECs, probably good letters of rec, and we think a good essay and Why Chapman short answer. He was offered the presidential scholarship, which we are really grateful for. Still leaves Chapman net COA above our EFC, but makes it probably do-able with reasonable loan amounts/work.
Again congrats/good thoughts to all.
That’s awesome to hear. We are from MN awaiting Dodge/Film Production or PR&Ad decision for our son. It’s his first choice school!
Good luck from one Minnesotan to another! The film school sounds wonderful, hope he gets good news.
She took the SAT once wasn’t thrilled with her score so she didn’t report it. All subsequent chances to retake SAT were cancelled (after we spent time and money on a tutor of course).
Thanks! We have to wait six weeks! Ugh! But cautiously hopeful! He’s received several other acceptances! Of course the most important has to be last…
Glad he has had some success already, and hopefully the holidays make the next several weeks go by a little faster at least!
same thing happened to me, the first time I took the sat it was simply a practice test run that I took august of my junior year. The score ended up being a whole 200 points lower than the practice scores I had received, my family spent money on a one on one tutoring service for the ACT where I was projected to get the 34-36 range and then of course boom the pandemic.
Would anyone share how much they got for Presidential Scholarship? Thank you!
What is the typical timing for regular decision? My daughter submitted on 11/1, but didn’t check “Early Action.” Thanks!
Two years ago my daughter was offered that and it was $30K/year.
Has anyone gotten any idea of when EA film production will be released? Traditionally it has been this upcoming Friday the 5th. I wonder if it will be the same this year?
Today! But I’m not sure what time. Anyone have any clue what time decisions may be released?
Their IG says end of day today so not sure if it means 5 or 6pm (like end of workday) or anytime up to midnight tonight
