Any news out there for Dodge College Animation majors? Son has been accepted to LMU and Otis, whose application priority deadlines were later! The waiting is killing him!
@chaarlee Hi! I asked the regular Chapman admissions page and they said that the skype interviews only apply to Film Prod majors. I also only applied to Dodge because no other schools have this type of program. Hope to hear back from them in the next couple of weeks, good luck!
@itcannotbetrue Doesn’t seem like any Dodge transfer applicants have heard back yet. They said on their tumblr ask page that decisions will be going out from mid to end of April.
I heard back just now. I didn’t get in. I’m a bit disappointed but it’s okay I applied to more schools. Good luck to everyone else!
I GOT IN! Accepted as Health Science major
First college acceptance!
@Moizzzzzz congrats! Is chapman your #1 choice/are you going to be committing?
@acceptmeplz376 Thank you! And yes it is my number one choice!! I am still waiting on UCI and UCR however I think Chapman is where I’ll end up!
@Moizzzzzz Nice!! You’ll be getting your financial aid package soon too. Are you going to live on campus?
anyone going to the may transfer days
Hi @itcannotbetrue ! I am a Dodge College Film prod major. I don’t know if this applies to animation but some applicants are interviewing this week/in the coming weeks. Best of luck to you!
I was accepted yesterday and was selected to be a Trustees Scholar! Definitely a nice scholarship offer. I am a political science major with a 3.92 GPA. I am still waiting on the rest of my financial aid package to come in before I can commit to anything. Have to make sure it is affordable for me. Good luck to everyone still waiting!
@vegastransfer --that sounds fantastic! What exactly is a trustees scholar?
I’m living off Campus! and i got the transfer packet, waiting on the financial aid packet now!
@Moizzzzzz ahh gotcha. Nice! Did you get any scholarships with your acceptance? And financial aid should get there within 2-3 weeks, good luck!
@itcannotbetrue I believe it is just the name for one of their transfer scholarships. $14,000 a year for two years. Definitely going to be a big help.
Just interviewed for Dodge yesterday! The interviewer (head of Dodge admisions) told me that they are finishing up interviews this week and then deciding next week; decisions should be out within the next few weeks (for film applicants).
Also, for those applying to Film Production as a transfer… Apparently Dodge requires film transfers to do three years instead of two (their curriculum is structured in this way). Just a heads up
Anyone attending the thing this Saturday?
@Moizzzzzz nah. I live locally so I’ve visited the campus a lot with my parents since my mom went there/to visit friends and don’t want to be stuck in the rush (or wake up that early lol).
I talked to a friend too and they said that day is fine to miss, in fact it’s usually a lot of first time freshmen.
It’s useful if you want to live on campus and haven’t seen the residence halls but I saw that on discover Chapman day and already submitted my housing application so I’ll just go to orientation.
@Moizzzzzz Also if you’re local and want to meet with financial aid it’s better to go another day since they’re going to be packed on Saturday. They’re open till 5 pm M-F! You should get your financial aid package soon so if you have any questions after that just make an appointment or walk in.
