More exciting news, ocelite!
DS loves Dodge. Counting the days to hear if he’s admitted. Very hard to wait.

Hi Gladiatorbird, Thanks for posting. I understand how you and your child must be feeling. I’ve been there in your position a couple years ago with my child. Dodge was DS first choice also. It was well worth the wait. Again, best of luck!

Thanks, OCELITE. Reading your posts and those of others who’ve tread this path already has helped DS (and us, the parents!). He’s accepted to LMU, so it comes down to waiting for Dodge, then USC, and seeing what we can manage financially. Those are his top 3.
It’s always nice to read about Dodge growing, thriving and innovating. Do wish we could learn more about their ‘youngish’ Digital Arts program, in particular, though. We hear mostly about Film Prod, of course!
Best wishes to everyone.

Question: Do you know if it would help that DS has decided he might as well save $ and live at home if he goes to Dodge? We live in the rural foothills nearby and it’s a manageable drive on a scenic winding road.

We’ve read that Chapman is really pressed for dorm space; if DS notifies them that he needs no on-campus housing, could that help his chances?

I expect it would not negatively affect our FA, since if he changes his option from dorm-housing later, the overall award would be reduced commensurately, anyway?

Hi Gladiatorbird, Congrats on your son getting accepted to LMU! I don’t believe chances of getting accepted to Chapman’s Dodge has anything to do with housing. They want to keep the class size small.

As for their digital arts, they have a facebook page for their digital art’s club that you can go to for questions, or link you to the posters. Hope this helps.
