I think I got waitlisted because my answers to the three supplemental questions were pretty weak; I wrote them on the day of the deadline lol.

Accepted into Business and received a surprise Deans Scholarship!

DD accepted into Math with Presidential (29k)
GPA- 3.8 uw/ 4.4 w (IB)
ACT- 34

@CaliMck15 my DD also accepted into Integrated Educational Studies. Received Dean’s scholarship. Need to see if we can afford… we hope we can make it work!

My son was accepted with Provost scholarship ($22,000) Psychology major.
GPA 3.83 UW/ 4.27 W
SAT:1370
ACT:28

@looregonmom I know what you mean. Not surprising that there’s no merit since she was deferred from EA, but we’ll see what Financial Aid Package looks like…With Redlands they were so generous, it brought the cost down from $62K to $23K!!

Not to put a damper on things, but the tuition for this fall has increased to exactly $50,210. In all fairness, it seems most colleges increase tuition by about 3-4% annually. Also, I believe intersession is included in the main tution, whereas some schools that are on 4-1-4 schedule charge an additional amount. Good luck and I hope everyone finds the right overall match.

I was accepted to the BFA theatre program with a Presidential scholarship!
GPA 3.9 UW/4.2 W
SAT 1500
ACT 32

Does anyone know that if the people last year who got accepted after being waitlisted received a lot of money? I’m debating whether to even try to get off of it because the only way I could go to chapman is if they offered a lot of aid. Is there any left by the time people get off of it?

I’m in the same boat as you. I chose to go on the wait list since Chapman is my number one choice, and just in case I manage to figure out the financials. But I wouldn’t count on it. If you have a few other schools you wouldn’t mind going to then I wouldn’t stress about Chapman and joining the waitlist.

@Emsibz @JElijahMichael I dont know if this information is helpful at all but I’m also the waitlist for fall but got accepted for the spring the they did offer scholarship me to me.

Im pretty jealous haha, if they offered me spring admission I would have taken that in a second haha! But, I’m just praying they take me off the waitlist and offer me admission!

For anyone who was recently accepted, have you received the Login information yet for the portal? Thank you!

I’ve been accepted with the Deans Scholarship.

Major: Strategic Communication
GPA: 3.72 W
ACT: 28
EC: good-in my opinion (President of JSA, VP for Teens for Literacy, Treasurer for Our Movement, member of Peer Advocates, and some other stuff)

I want to go to UC Irvine or SB, but I’ve been rejected to UCD and UCSD so don’t feel too hopeful. I’m now starting to consider Chapman U. Just not too sure yet, but good luck to everyone!!!

@zeewhy3 what’s your unweighted GPA?

@Avancer when I had applied it was a 3.63

I believe the typical experience of those being accepted from the waitlist at private colleges is they do not receive a lot of grant/merit aid.

I submitted my waitlist offer without adding the addition information. I thought that I could update it later but now that I’m going back and trying to add the additional info it says “access denied”. I’m freaking out! What should I do?

@Chris1233 I would just call them on Monday. Most of these Admissions people are pretty understanding. Just let them know you didn’t get to complete the additional information!

@CaliMck15 ok, thanks!
