My dd is going to audition for Chapman University dance program in CA. I just found out that the only thing you do is a solo of 2-4 minutes. I was wondering what you thought of that? I find it very unusual. I dont understand that they dont want to see your technique in ballet and jazz/modern. I assume they only want to see your performing ability. What they dont see is how fast your learn choreograpy, ballet technique, and how fast you can make it your own. Anyone could work on their solo forever and make it look good. What is your take on it? Anyone have first hand knowlege of Chapman? Thanks!

Hello dancerinpa. Is your daughter still interested in Chapman dance? Would you please update me on your findings?
