Hello Oregonianmom, are you sure it’s all non-Dodge EA applicants? Or all non-Film Production EA applicants?

bigmamabear, not sure. I remember last year that the Dodge applicants didn’t hear back until February, but I don’t know if it was specifically film production applicants or all Dodge applicants. My D didn’t apply to Dodge, so it’s not really on my radar. You might want to go back to last year’s acceptance threads and check them out.

Waiting for Dodge is brutal. My daughter is a freshman. She applied EA and was accepted in MARCH. Some kids were still waiting in June. Take a deep breath, admissions are rolling, but they roll slow.

I have a freshman student at Chapman. We haven’t heard about overcrowding. Some of the classes have less than 20 students. When it comes to registering for classes, the student has to be flexible with their time, but students can always find classes to get in. They can even enroll for interterm classes with no additional fees. They can stay at their dorms, all of it, included. Chapman is a private university. They don’t over enroll like the public universities.

I applied to Dodge as well, Film Production. Seems very popular. I was going to apply to LMU, but missed the deadline. The campus is absolutely beautiful. Chapman just feels more homey. Reading all of the different posts, I am seriously beginning to worry about my Chapman application.

@norcalimom-My daughter is in love with Chapman. The fit was really perfect for her. She’s had no trouble with crowding, I was really surprised. Yes, there are more students than there used to be, but that is really because many more accepted students registered than expected. I think they will adjust next year. The dorms are now triple, but they are big, so it’s fine. I can’t imagine a better school for this child. However, I have a junior this year who would hate it there. Too small. Too small town. Gorgeous school, but you have to visit.

are there still other people who haven’t received their web advisor login information? I applied Nov. 14 and still haven’t gotten anything.

My d applied in early November and still hasn’t received her web advisor information. When she visited the campus in late November, they told her they had all of her application information and they would be sending out a letter soon, stating that her file was complete. She still hasn’t received that letter. She did call last week to ask for her web advisor number, and they transferred her to someone but she got a voice mail, so she left a message. She hasn’t heard anything back yet.

I haven’t gotten mine yet either!

I have my login information and everything. As of today, my file is complete and my “decision is pending…” Chapman is my top-choice school so I really hope that I get in! I’m crossing my fingers. :)

Whenever I try to log in using my username/pw I get this message:

“Constituency redirection is enabled but the user does not have a primary constituency.”

:/ What gives?

Nevermind! It started working today…

Hey guys! I applied EA to Dodge and got my WebAdvisor stuff in the mail last week. Chapman is in my top three for schools, so I hope I get in!

To the people that have kids there, I was curious, do your kids have any feedback on how the school is for out of state students? Is there kind of a culture shock or is it easy to fit in? I’m from the Midwest and the one kid I know who goes to Chapman lived in Cali for ten years, so he doesn’t really count haha.

My daughter applied EA for dance. She auditioned in October. She has gotten all of her paperwork and can check status online. They told her that she should hear mid January for dance. I dont know if this for every major. Good Luck everyone. This is my daughters first choice and is excited to hear.

Hey!
I applied EA to Chapman. I’m from Toronto - anyone know someone that has been accepted from out of the country? I applied to Communications but I’m really nervous about my application - I’m in the IB program but my SATS aren’t the best.
Anyways, good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone!
I applied mid October and got my login information a few weeks ago. Does anyone know if there is a deadline for when we are supposed to hear back by? I’ve heard something about Jan 10th, but I’m not sure if this is true. Thanks for the help!

Hi Stemar
I met a Chapman admissions rep at my school in the fall and we’ve been emailing ever since. She emailed me saying decisions will start going out on Jan 10 and will continue to roll until the end of January. I am not a Dodge applicant though so Dodge decisions could be different.

Also
I have a section at the top of my portal that says “new student information” but my friend doesn’t…
anyone else have that?

@mere24

Mine says “New Student Information” now too. Are you sure your friend’s doesn’t say it? What about above the “New Student Information”? Does yours say anything else? Mine says “Production,” probably because I applied to Film Production.

@filmsRcool

mine says production as well but i applied to the communications program
