Chapman vs LMU: Comp Sci and social vibe

Looking for some input/experiences on the comp sci department for either Chapman Univ or Loyola Marymount. Also interested in weekend social vibe for both and vibe of surrounding area. (Heard that LMU is a quieter weekend vibe, not a huge social scene and that Chapman’s surrounding town isn’t a college town).

Chapman has more of a college campus feel. LMU is right on off the beach and beautiful but kind’ve isolated in a way there’s campus then nothing walking distance around it. Chapman has the town of Orange 2 blocks from campus which is really cute small town vibes (and I’d say college town feel) which really is unique in Southern California. Go check them out and see for yourself

Thanks! We are east coast so trying to get intel to decide where to visit. Would Chapman be considered a “regional school?” Any info you know about their CS program?

Chapman is definitely not a regional school. While there are a lot of kids from Southern California that is a big area and there are equally a lot of other kids from all over the country and the world
