A lot of the supplements I am currently filling out have character limits. How do I go about adding for information to answer the question? I know that I will probably have to upload a file with the extended answers, but how do I go about doing that for the supplement?

If there’s a character limit, you should stay within that limit. Unless the character limit doesn’t make any sense, but you haven’t given any examples so I wouldn’t know what to tell you.

If the supplement itself doesn’t have an option of uploading a separate document with answers, then obviously you can’t upload one.

They give you character limits for a reason–to level the playing field among everyone, to force you to be succinct and precise. so stick to it.

I would strongly advise against attempting to upload additional answers to questions under the pretense of a “why ____” college interest essay. For instance, most schools ask you to upload a document explaining your reasons for applying to their school, what you’d give back, etc. In this situation only upload your essay, do not attempt to upload anything else like answers to questions that didn’t fit in the space/character limit given.

Don’t give them any reason to just disregard you right off the bat.
