I have a common app essay (I would be happy to send message it if you would like) that talks a lot about my character, but not about my intellect or preparedness for college. Is this okay? I was hoping grades would be seen on my transcript and through scores, but should I be explaining more about my intellect and curiosity? My essay is more of a story that speaks for itself and doesn't explain. (Prompt about a place where I am perfectly content).
Thanks!

Ideally, it would be focused on character with a nod to your intellect, but even if it’s just character, that should be fine. Especially if you aren’t interviewing at your colleges, this is really your one chance to show them what kind of a person you are. Your transcript and scores and recs can speak to your intellect. Other posters may have different opinions, but this is mine. Best of luck!

Thank you @LAMuniv! Very helpful
