Hi folks,
I've asked this question in a lot of other places, but I can't seem to get a proper answer from anywhere, so this is kinda the desperate, last-minute breaking point!

I'm trying to upload a PDF version of the essay to the supplement of a uni I'm applying to, however all my italicized characters are distorted in the print preview!

I've tried everything I can think of- copy-pasting to create a new file, trying a different font, different font size....the problem actually seems to get worse when I change the font!

This wasn't the case with my Common App essay- everything uploaded just fine :/ So any suggestions anyone? I really need those words italicized or frankly they won't make sense at all!

I used calibri(body) font on my application and it seemed to work okay (: But if you already tried that font I don’t really know what else to tell you :/

You do not mention where you are creating your PDF from? I assume you are working from an application such as Word and are saving a PDF from there? If this is the case than you should make sure you have Embed Fonts selected in your preferences before saving a PDF. This should preserve the style of your fonts.

I should clarify that this preference will be found in your Print Dialog box when you are ready to save the PDF file. There will options you can select when creating your PDF and “Embed all Fonts” can be found under the Font tab in the preferences.
