One way from East Campus to RDU this Tuesday afternoon.....any thoughts?

charlene's should have a fixed rate, check their website

Thank you. They seem much more vague; On Time Taxi offers a specific so called holiday discounted rate for students of $25.00.

Charlene's Contact Us

I would go with On Time then.

I thought Charlene's was like $30 my freshman year (im a junior), so $25 sounds like a good deal.

All of them are pretty terrible with both service and rates, but what can you do right? I'd suggest trying more than just those two companies because there are like 5 reputable ones. Just go on Google and type "durham taxi" and the most common ten should be listed. Other companies include Durham Taxi Co, ABC Taxi, etc. Each call takes like 30 seconds; take 5 min and maybe save $5.

Anybody remember Ambassador Taxi that was in service 1-2 years ago? The guy that ran that was so awesome: a flat $20 charge one way to RDU and if you were lucky (1 in 2?) he drove you around in his new Cadillac. Those were the days... too bad high gas prices forced him out of business.

Remember to tip your drivers!

Went with OnTime because of better website. Picked up late, called me instead of her, made passes and asked her not "to tell".....but otherwise turned out ok....

I generally go with Charlene's because of the sheer sketchiness of many of the OnTime drivers...

Haha... just rode with On Time yesterday and the driver spent most of the ride telling me about the tattoos he has spent thousands of dollars on that basically are his life... and we basically almost ran into a ditch.

on time taxi SUCKS.
it's also cheap.
