Charter Scholarship?

How hard is it to get one of those? I'm OOS
UGA Undergraduate Admissions - Financial Aid & Scholarships - First-Year Students

Those seem pretty good, free tuition, plus 1k stipend. I feel I may get considered for Fellows, but it's too early to tell, and I kind of think it is a long shot, maybe Ramseys.

But does anyone know the average Charter and even Ramsey scholars stats?

Thanks

According to UGA press releases, "[2008] Charter Scholars had an average SAT score of 1394. Their average high school GPA exceeded 4.0."

The Ramseys have stats almost exactly similar to the Fellows- remember, all those invited to interview for the fellowship are guaranteed the Ramsey and they don't award Ramseys any other way. In fact, some years Ramseys actually have average stats slightly above the fellows- this year they had the same SAT average (1522) and a slightly higher GPA (4.18).

So Charter is still pretty tough, but I think I may have a pretty decent shot at that, but maybe not Ramseys/Fellows.

Thanks

I know UGA reconfigures your GPA, someone said they add .5 for AP classes, but do they add any for Honors? I was looking at Collegeboard.com and it said that 63% of incoming freshman had GPAs above 3.75(on 4.0 scale). Thats really good. Right now I have a 3.74 GPA, 4.16 Weighted. But I was wondering for the scholarships, do they only add to your GPA for APs?

63% over 3.75, dayum, schollys are going to be even more competitive than I had first thought. But, I think I have some pretty good ECs, GPA may be on the low side for trying to get a Charter scholly.
