For example how would someone quickly find schools that would give very large merit for a SAT 1310
On College Navigator you can compare several schools side by side and see their students’ test score ranges.
But that doesn’t mean they would definitely give large merit for stats above that range.
On the school’s common data set page you can also see percentage of fresan students that have certain GPA or test scores.
In PA you can target private schools like Allegheny, Juniata, Lycoming, Susquehanna, Gannon, Duquesne for merit chances with a 1300 plus SAT score. But cost can still be high after $10,000 to $20,000 merit.
Not all in one place that I know of.
But I’d suggest you start with the Kiplinger College finder for a first pass. That data base let’s you drill into two key merit aid facts: (i) what percentage of students get non-need based aid and (ii) what the average need based award is.
Then you’d have to do use another tool to overlay the selectivity level. Kiplinger let’s you do a little of that, but not with a lot of detail.
