I'm looking to apply to boarding schools this year. I was wondering if someone could tell me about these 2 schools ? Do they have a good reputation ? Stong academics ? Stuff like that. Please and thank you =]

Contact leapindoughnuts4 about Chatham Hall, I believe that she’s a current student. I’ve heard that Chatham is a great school and I have never heard of Salem Academy so I can’t be of much help… Good luck!

I’m a graduate of Chatham Hall, and my sister is a current student. It’s an amazing school. Feel free to PM me if you have specific questions, though I almost never check CC.

By the way, Chatham Hall received a $31 million gift from an alumna last week–the largest single gift to any girls’ school ever. This is great news for financial aid applicants, as I’m pretty sure it will bump them up to the highest endowment-per-student of any girls school. Even when it had a smaller endowment the school showed a commitment to financial aid; I and many alumnae hope and expect that the most recent gift will enable an even larger-scale FA initiative.

Im applying for next year at Chatham, so excited!! Does anyone know the average SSAT score for that school? Boardingschoolreview doesnt have them :(. Salem academy looks good though, and they have a high acceptance rate and a reasonable SSAT average.
