I have been looking all over the web and have not been able to find Barron's or P.R. AP prep books for cheap. Any suggestions of where to look? I need one for US history and English language. I have tired dealoz and bigwords. The 2008/2009 ones are rather expensive. I would like to get them for under $8. Would the older ones work?

did you try amazon? usually you can find some pretty good deals in the amazon marketplace (that’s where if you’re looking at a book and you see “11 used and new?” or something, if you click on that, it goes to like…3rd party sellers or something. and it can be a lot cheaper. also if you wanted to try used they have them there too.
I’ve gotten books for a penny before (not AP prep books…stuff like wuthering heights and pride and prejudice…although you have to pay 3.99 shipping i think for everything…but still)
and for history…i’d say the older ones are probably fine…i don’t think the essentials have changed that much :)

You might be disappointed with the condition that some second-hand prep books come in since they aren’t hard cover. Amazon sells most new prep books for around $12 each, so it isn’t really that expensive, and if you buy $25 or more (or you sign up for free Amazon Prime trial), you can get free shipping, so the book is essentially around $8 since you save the $3.99 shipping fee. You can always ask some older students at your school if they have prep books for a really cheap price. Maybe they’ll do it since a few dollars is better than a prep book that’s going to collect dust.
