I’m an incoming freshman looking for the cheapest off campus housing option for someone who does not drive so would like to be close to campus

West Campus or just North along Guad St (access to UT Shuttle) might be good options for places looking for roommates. You might also check out roommate ads. Should be lots of options.

Another thought…if cheap and close to campus are priorities, look for where the Chinese and Indian students live. You’ll eat well too.
