I know that this has been said before, but I think it bears repeating. Check with all of your schools to make sure they have all of your application materials. Out of the 6 schools my DS applied to, 2 schools did not have material in his file (recommendations, tests scores, etc.) In both cases, the materials had been sent in time, but somehow had not made their way into his admissions file.

Good tip, thanks!

Good suggestion. We just found out today that my son’s composition portfolio never arrived at McGill. He kept checking his account and it wasn’t showing up as processed. We started calling last week and continued to check as they had a huge backlog. Today, they suggested he re-send as it doesn’t appear to have made it to their office. It is probably floating around Montreal somewhere. This was the only application that my son had finished early, and now we are late.

Yes, definitely check this. Also, ask to see your transcript before your school sends it…mine had errors on it (something their computer had messed up and they don’t double check this) that I caught and told them to fix it.

Always gives me a panic attack to read these kinds of threads, as I re-live last year! It would be a good idea to always get receipts from the post office whenever you send anything.
