<p>Add a subject doing the realizing. The sentence by itself doesn’t really make much sense to me, but perhaps it would in context.</p>

<p>I would say, “Then I realized that although it was bound by law, it could yet comprehend the meaning of celestial freedom.”</p>

<p>I’m not sure what “it” is in this sentence.</p>

<p>Actually, it is that I suddenly make a realization that I feel bound in laws and yet I can comprehend the meaning of celestial freedom. (This sentence however sounds simple and does not match with the overall tone of the story)
Context: (for example) When you understand the fundamental principles of anything, music or science, then you get freedom to play with them(music or mathematics) in beautiful ways. </p>
