Check-in day help

I’m an incoming freshman planning to check-in on 9/1 - I’m in Gonzaga on upper. Any tips on what to do do, where to park, etc.

Woo hoo, suzieq1708!! We're bringing our senior D on 9/1 (but, of course, she'll be on the Lower Campus!!

When we moved D in freshman year, we had to stop at Cheverus (on one side of Upper, close to the entrance you use to access Upper) for her to check in and get her room code, etc. Then we drove around to the parking area closest to her dorm. We had a pass that was good for about 30 minutes, and that was plenty of time because there were LOTS of upperclassmen (and you might get our nephew who is helping with move-in!) who were right there to carry stuff up to her room with us. They are fast, efficient and friendly. You then have a parent move the car to the parking garage on Lower, and they can take a shuttle back to Upper, or walk back up (we always opt to walk!!) to help with the unpacking, etc.

There are a couple of places to park for unloading into Gonzaga, including along the curb in front of the dorm.

Good luck, and enjoy your first year at BC--it's wonderful, and we're sad that it's our D's last (and so is she!!!!!)

weird, i'm in gonzaga too! I'm moving in on the first also. i have no idea how this is going to work though, seeing as i'm flying in and i'm shipping everything.
