I am going to apply BC as bio major

So…
few things that i am worring about are
low GPA, No clubs or sports, and no awards

what do u guys think about this stat
would i make BC as early Action?
Also what is the most important thing that I should do to get into BC as early action?
I want your HONEST answer~

thx alotz

I think your grades are a little low, especially for EA, relative to your SAT's...colleges don't like that...think maybe your lazy or something...also joining a club your senior year won't help much...your other stuff is good...I didn't get in EA altho my grades were higher with mostly honors and AP and similar SAT's...good luck anyway and keep trying!

ok heres my honest answer to your several worries:

firstly forget about GPA, its largely meaningless now, you wont be able to raise it to significantly. What you must do however is make an attempt for the next 2 terms to get nothing but B+ or better, try to show an upward trend.

I got in EA from a very difficult private school, what i did have was an uptrend from second semester junior year. first 2.5 years gpa of 3.4 last 1.5 gpa of 3.9 something. I was told by an addmisions person at BC that they really like to see the uptrend. Secondly i had no consistent sports, i played some football and lacrosse, but stopped in junior year to get grades up. Clubs were scanty as well.

I think that if you get scores like you say u simply need to work on the up swing. Get rid of those C+/B-/B those are your biggest liability as they, psychologically to admissons arent what they are looking for.

I think you have a shot, but as Bossf51 said EA as you stand now will be difficult.

i wish you the best of luck!

Based on what's going on this year I now rate your chances as very low even for RD.

Look at the thread "Letters sent out March 17th" and decide for yourself. It's pretty dismal there.
