This design effort is a tangible benefit of our partnership with Hobsons. Creating it was a major team effort involving both designers and developers.
Our thanks to all of the CC members who reviewed and commented on our early sample designs. These opinions were instrumental in the design choices we made. We hope you like the way it turned out!
Why do we have to draw a picture on the signature page. Does it have to be anything specific?
If I have made a mistake in where I posted, please tell me, I have never done this before
Ummm…I read through the whole “Ivy Applications” thing, and…well…it was bad. The essays were poorly constructed. They “told” instead of “showed.” It’s always a terrible idea to disregard specific instructions (e.g. writing a 1000 words when specifically asks you to limit it to 500-600…or giving them six recs, counselor+2 teacher+president guy+dad, when they specifically ask for 3-4). Idk, it was just childish. Also, you can’t follow most of that advice if you’re doing it all online (cover letter, etc.)
I agree, it looks kind of like a spam site. Nothing is too “focused” on, unlike before, with the HUGE college discussion button. But, I can see how it is also better in some aspects as well. Hopefully it’ll grow on me. Acquired taste for a website perhaps?
OK…I logged in at work today and got the new design (I think…is that the one with the tabs at the top??). But my home CC screen hasn’t changed one bit…at least not this week.
My CC forum at home hasn’t changed ONE bit. I’m using my old favorites link but still…if it’s changed, shouldn’t I see SOMETHING different?
I did log on at work, and the main screen is different…has the tabs at the top. But everything else is exactly the same once you get into these forums. What am I missing?
