<p>Groan - who knew Vassar was so tough to get into: Vassar # 6 SAT scores, above Bowdoin and Middlebury, both SAT optional schools, and right below Williams, (which we thought was too much of a reach for my son, although he sent his ACTs in, not SAT scores.)</p>

<p>On the USNWR web site (uses 2005 data), when you request a ranking of LACs by 25%-75% SAT scores, this list gets spit out:</p>

<p>if the only criterion vassar cares about is SAT scores, then maybe this is important, but i know that's not the case. if your son shows something interested in his application, then that just as important, if not more so than having stellar SATs.</p>
