Check Status Online

Hi fellow CC'ers.

Does anyone know how to check our application status online? THe P'ton app just says to use the "pin number" at www.princeton.edu/admission, but I don't see how to log in and actually check it. Is it the same "log in" as the one to actually apply online?

I tried the same log in and I don't see how the PIN number has anything to do with it--anyway, I too would like to know the answer to this question!

triple bump,

anyone know anything about the "pin" numbers??? and how to use them?

i dunno. i'm getting worried. i mailed my stuff the wed. before last and the check hasn't even cleared. has anyone had any confirmation that they got your stuff?

haha i just started a topic about that...i am worrying too.

They say that you should wait a month before contacting them. Apparently, within a month after applying they mail a confirmation in the mail to you.

Yep, just posted it in the other thread, but i got my email confirmation just now. WOOT!

BD89, a MONTH?!?!?!?!?!?

i just sent in my app like last week, so I can't afford to wait a month!!

lol wat if some stuff got lost in mail, wat would i do??

I sent my application in over the internet, so that is where the basis for my knowledge comes from.

This is what they say in the email:

"Once the Admission Office has processed your application and opened a file for you, we will mail you a second notice. If you do not receive this second confirmation within a month, please contact the Admission Office."

I just got an email saying they opened a file for me. Apparently though, they say to wait a month before getting confirmation. Once again, this is based on my experience with the internet application...I am not sure how the the regular application is handled.

I got the same e-mail you did, but one question: where did you hear this "month" thing?

"If you do not receive this second confirmation within a month, please contact the Admission Office.""

But if I submit my application late this week (which I am planning on doing), then won't a month be like 2/3 into the decisions process? It seems like that message was meant for RD, when there is more time....but that is just me.

lol. chances are they wont get lost in mail

but in the even that it does, that would sukk
