<p>You appear to be a strong candidate, but Williams’ (or fill in the blank with all the usual suspect most selective colleges)acceptance rate is quite low from what must be a very strong applicant pool, so there are no guarantees. Your musical versatility (and virtuosity) is interesting, but begs the question, would you have sufficient outlet for your talents at Williams? I don’t know how important that would be for you…</p>

<p>I had a similar musical history (national recognition, international conferences, conservatory study, etc.) and I still chose Williams because I do not intend to pursue music as a career, but rather as an avocation. I wouldn’t worry about having sufficient outlets for your creativity. </p>

<p>Apart from that, I would encourage you to try to raise your ACT score by two points (composite) and to choose two subject tests in subjects in which you’re confident.</p>

<p>you definitely should apply for financial aid. People whose families earn 100k+ get financial aid too.</p>
